CEI are honoured to have Habib Ali join us for Chapter Four of the Burdah ‘The Birth of the Prophet peace be upon him’ and would like to thank RMW for helping facilitate his participation on this course.
**Please note chapter four on Sat 12 May 2012 will start at 17.00, not 18.30**
CEI Burdah programme registered students need not register. There are a limited number of tickets available for non registered CEI Burdah students at £10 (plus paypal fee) online or £15 on the door if available. Please click on register for online ticketing.
Format: Ten classes covering the ten chapters.
Explanation based upon the commentaries of al-Imam Ibrahim al-Bajuri and ibn Hajar al-Haytami amongst others.

Structure
The evening will usually be split into three sessions. The first session will where possible invite various nasheed artists to perform the relevant section in their particular singing style.The second session will be taught by our regular teacher, Shaykh Jihad Brown, who will cover the text in a systematic basis and provide cohesive structure to the course. Where possible, the final session will invite a different guest speaker each month to expand on key themes, topics and/or relevant reminders for that particular lecture.
Munshids
The ten chapters of the Burda will be recited live by various nasheed groups, including Shaam, Manaqib and al-birru wa taqwa (see trailers for chapter 1 to 3 highlights).
