ANNUAL TARAWIH 2024 (Q. 18)
Join us for our Annual Tarawih on Good Friday, 29 March 2024, at 4.15pm. Click here for further details of this year’s timetable and programme.
We begin the evening with an English reading and short summary tafsir session of the sura to be recited in the Tarawih prayer. This is then followed by short reminders by CEI teachers and invited guests.
Invited guests and CEI teachers give short reminders about a theme or a verse from the sura to be recited in the tarawih prayer.
After the tafsir session and the short reminders, there is a communal Dua, Iftar, and Maghrib prayers followed by a three course meal.
‘Umar (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When the night approaches and the day retreats and the sun sinks down, then the observer of the fast should break it.’
A three course meal is served and there is ample time to socialise with family, friends, students, volunteers and teachers before the start of the short Tarawih.
Attendees are welcome to reserve a table of ten to accommodate larger groups of friends and families.
After the food, we are lead in eight short Tarawih prayers in the same venue, with live recitation from an experienced reciter.
Pink tea is served after the Tarawih in a relaxing atmosphere for friends and family.
