ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER TO READ THE QURAN
A free communal gathering, facilitating the silent reading of the entire Quran in Arabic in one of London’s most prestigious hotels.
A communal silent reading of the entire Quran in Arabic. The Quran can be read in two ways:
(1) reflecting on the meanings in the Quran (Q-Club)
(2) reading the Quran in Arabic (Q-Read).
Both are important.
There are many traditions that mention the increase in blessings at the completion (khatum) of the Quran. According to Razi, Q. 83:26 can refer to the completion of the Quran:
‘The completion thereof (khitamuhu) will be Musk: let those who strive, strive for this.’
‘Help one another in righteousness and piety’ (Q. 5:2). Given the distractions of daily life, these communal gatherings can encourage us to support each other and reconnect with the Quran.
