THE CEI EXPERIENCE
Open House is an annual event offering an immersive and inspiring showcase of the diverse programmes that define the CEI experience, with a particular focus on the foundational London Academy programme.
Now in its fourth year since its inception in 2023, Open House welcomes both current students and prospective learners, providing them with a unique opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the ‘why’ behind CEI, the breadth of programmes and diversity of teaching at the heart of CEI.
Open House also highlights the deeply transformative impact that studying with CEI has on those engaging with the programmes. It showcases the voices and personal journeys that define CEI as a spiritually enriching educational environment.

THE CEI EXPERIENCE
With over 12 unique programmes delivered throughout the academic year, Open House is the gateway to discovering CEI’s unique and holistic approach to Qur’anic engagement and Islamic Sciences.
This vibrant event offers a behind-the-scenes look at our full range of transformative programmes, designed to inspire and motivate current and prospective students on their spiritual learning journeys.
THE JOURNEY
Established in the late 1990s, CEI has maintained a longstanding commitment to excellence in developing distinctive programmes focused on the Qur’an and Islamic Sciences.
Since 2010, it has established a strong presence in Central London, expanding its reach to other key UK cities, including Oxford, Manchester and Birmingham, through the delivery of a wide range of impactful initiatives.
Open House offers a unique opportunity to explore CEI’s journey to date and gain insight into the exciting developments shaping its future.
ACADEMIC DEEPDIVE
At the heart of Open House is a spotlight on the London Academy, CEI’s flagship two-year programme bringing together six distinguished teachers, each offering a unique teaching approach across six core disciplines of the Islamic tradition.
Open House offers attendees an in-depth look at the Academy’s richly interdisciplinary approach, with the chance to learn more about each discipline and hear insights from the reputed teachers on the programme.
STUDENT ROUNDTABLE
A powerful and candid session where attendees hear directly from CEI students.
This roundtable offers first hand reflections on the CEI experience and the profound, transformative impact CEI has had on students’ spiritual, personal and professional development.
SCHOLAR SPOTLIGHT
A particular highlight of the evening will be an in-depth conversation between Dr S. Ashraf and invited scholars.
Come along to hear their insights about studying the traditional sciences and the unique experience of studying with CEI.
NETWORKING & FOOD
The evening offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with members of the CEI community, engage in meaningful conversation, and network with students, alumni, and teachers, all over delicious free food and refreshments.
