SESSION 2

IN-PERSON PRESENTATION

The second session is an in-person gathering at Wesley London, bringing together all students who attended the online introduction.

This session allows students to experience a full Q-Workshop, participate in presentations and engage directly with peers and workshop leaders.

Attendance is essential to give and receive feedback, learn from others’ presentations, and be inspired for future facilitation opportunities.

Session 2: Sunday 17th May 2026. 2:00–5:00pm.

This session will be held in person at MIC (Wesley Hotel), 81-103 Euston St, London Euston, NW1 2EZ.

WHAT THIS SESSION COVERS

During this session, students present the workshops they have prepared from their assigned readings and submitted materials.

Presentations are limited to ten minutes per student, using a maximum of five slides, and include a summary of the article, workshop ideas, and any research insights.

Each presentation is followed by feedback from facilitators and a brief opportunity for fellow students to ask questions. The session provides insight into how Q-Workshops are structured and delivered in practice.

PREPARING YOUR WORKSHOP

Students are expected to complete their preparatory reading, create a summary, and plan their workshop activities before the session.

Preparation should include a warm-up, main activity, and any research ideas inspired by the reading. Completing these tasks ensures students are fully prepared to present confidently and participate meaningfully in discussions.

PRESENTING AND FEEDBACK

Selected students will present their summaries, workshop activities, and research insights in ten minutes.

Facilitators provide feedback on content and delivery, while other students can ask questions or share reflections. This follows the Q-Workshops format, ensuring all students gain insight and preparation for future assessments or facilitation roles.

OUTCOME

You will complete the programme with a grounding in how to read and engage with academic Qur’anic literature, and an understanding of how theme-led workshops are built from such writings.

You will also come away with a clear picture of what Q-Workshop facilitation involves. If selected by the panel, you will have the opportunity to facilitate a session at a future Q-Immersion.
