Q-Symposium is a full day program, and as spaces are limited, please only register if you are able to commit to the full day.
Scroll down for further details on the format and the academic poster sessions.
RegisterEach presenter at Q-Symposium will have 15-30 minutes to present their research findings alongside 5-10 minutes for an open Q & A session.
Asking questions is highly encouraged and essential for an open and transparent intellectual exploration of the Qur’an.
In addition, every attendee will receive conference proceedings with written short articles from each presenter along with abstracts. Click on abstracts and program for details of this year’s Q-Symposium.
This year, in addition to the oral presentations of papers, we will be holding an academic poster session during an extended lunch break. Presenters will create posters to summarise their work from last year and will be available to discuss their work.
This will be a great chance to engage further with the research topics, familiarise yourself with some of the content from last year’s Q-Symposium, understand the Q-Symposium process better and talk through the work with the presenters. The ticket price includes lunch.
Academic posters are a visual form of communicating academic research, projects or literature reviews that often combine elements of text, diagrams and other media to convey ideas as effectively as possible. They are designed to deliver a summary of the work on a single page in a brief and concise manner.
Academic posters are usually presented at conferences, exhibitions or networking events and authors often accompany the poster to discuss their work, answer questions and provide additional information.
See below for an example poster to be presented this year.
