The event started with Qur’an recitation and a short tafsir class on Surah Al-Qasas (The Story Q. 28). This was followed by reminders from our regular teachers at CEI. A communal dua preceded the iftar azhan. After dessert and isha azhan we had a live transmission from Makkah with closing dua. We then prayed tarawih reciting Q. 28 and finished the evening with some pink tea.

A communal dua preceded the iftar azhan. After dessert and isha azhan we had a live transmission from Makkah with closing dua. We then prayed tarawih reciting Q. 23 and finished the evening with some pink tea.
The evening begun with a short tafsir of Surah Hajj by CEI teachers, followed by prayers before Iftar. After Maghrib, three course dinner was served and pink tea, with ample time to socialise with family, friends, students, volunteers and teachers. An Egyptian reciter from al-Azhar led eight short Tarawih prayers, reciting ‘Surah Hajj Q. 22’.
The evening begun with a Q-Read session (Qur’an Khatum), followed by prayers before Iftar. After Maghrib there was an open buffet and pink tea, with ample time to socialise with family, friends, students, volunteers and teachers. An Egyptian reciter from al-Azhar led eight short Tarawih prayers, reciting ‘The Prophets Q. 21’, with short reminders by CEI teachers on this sura.
To mark the end of the CEI academic year of 2015-16, we enjoyed a relaxed three course dinner at Royal Nawaab in the Imperial Suite, with excellent company, live nasheeds and speeches throughout the evening. At dinner we closed the CEI London Academy classes and began our Saunterer’s Path walk.
