Terms & Conditions

Please note the following Terms and Conditions, which are applicable to all programmes run by CEI.

General

All attendees of a CEI courses, events or programmes will comply with health and safety regulations of the venue. Students and attendees to CEI courses and/or events must observe proper conduct amongst themselves, in a manner which will not impede or prevent others from participating fully.

Students enrolled on a CEI course are expected to attend all classes and be punctual. No class material, including hand-outs, booklets and other academic material is to be circulated or copied to students outside of CEI classes.

No recording, audio or otherwise, of any CEI classes or events will be undertaken by any student unless prior permission has been granted by a CEI representative. CEI reserves the rights over all media taken at a CEI event.

Policy

Each attendee wishing to attend an event and/or programme hosted by CEI will complete, where required, online registration prior to the event. This will include making payment to attend the programme.

CEI would like all students, attendees, host partners and any external teachers to note that it is a non-violent, independent voluntary organisation. As such, CEI will not tolerate any incitement to hatred, violence or extreme political views at any classes or events. CEI focuses on academic learning and we engage various teachers to deliver a particular module or course.

Completion Connect

Registration and Payment

Each student agreeing to sign a CEI course will complete online registration with details, prior to the course start date. By completing registration, students will be agreeing to these Terms and Conditions in full.

CEI reserves the right to cancel student enrolment if payments are not completed when due.

Cooling off period

A cooling off period is valid for all programmes and events. The cooling off period allows students to receive a refund prior to the programme or event beginning if any extenuating circumstances occur. The cooling off period starts once you have purchased your ticket. Please see below our cooling off policy.

0-1 week after registering: 95% refund of the ticket price

1 Week to  72 hours before the programme starts: 75% refund of the ticket price

Cancellation and Refunds

There are no refunds once the cooling off period for the course has expired. Deposits are also non-refundable.

The course fees do not always cover the whole cost of the course and CEI relies on donations and cover from volunteers to complete overheads for running the course. Non-payment for the classes, therefore, has serious impact on the course and could jeopardise the course for other students.

Limitation of Liability

CEI engages in contracts with various partners and independent teachers when hosting events and programmes. As such, CEI are not responsible for any actions/statements or views of students, attendees, teachers and/or host partners that is not in accordance with CEI’s policies. Each of these partner companies and/or teachers are independent of CEI and we are not liable, or necessarily endorse, any of their external activities.

CEI is not liable for any delay, inconvenience, expense, illness, injury, death, damage to property through negligence or default of any company or individual engaged in providing these services. CEI is not responsible for any loss or injury when attending as a student on any of the CEI programmes.

By signing up as a student to a CEI course, you agree that you, your heirs, legal representatives, or any other persons with lawful authority to act on your behalf will not make a legal claim against CEI for their voluntary work in managing and administrating their courses. If any portion of this agreement is unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full effect. Reference to CEI will include all volunteers and any staff members enlisted by CEI who carry no individual liability in connection to events and programmes hosted by CEI.
