Q-MASTERCLASS
Qx Masterclasses offer an in-depth afternoon study of a single Qur’anic sura—its key concepts, structure, and themes—through two complementary lenses: traditional teaching and academic analysis.
Led by Dr S. Ashraf and a guest expert, each session features guided readings, contextual exploration, and scholarly insight. The sessions are open for both in-person and online attendance.

CEI is thrilled to announce the second Qx Masterclass: an exclusive evening with Professor MAS Abdel Haleem, SOAS Professor of Islamic Studies and world-renowned English translator of the Qur’an, alongside Dr. Ashraf, founder of CEI, Qur’an scholar, and former student of Professor Abdel Haleem.
Both will present their work on Sura al-Hadid (Q. 57) on Sunday 30th November 2025. Registration closes on the Friday 28th November 2025.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Qx Masterclasses are designed for those who have attended or are interested in Qx programmes such as Q-Club and Q-Connect, and want to explore Qur’anic studies in greater depth.
They suit anyone seeking serious engagement with the Qur’an through insights from experienced scholars and teachers presenting to a non-academic audience. No prior knowledge of Arabic is required—just a willingness and desire to engage.

The Qx Masterclass offers a unique, accessible way to engage deeply with a sura—studied from two expert perspectives in a single afternoon. It provides an enriching blend of traditional and academic insight while supporting Qx’s mission to broaden and deepen access to the Qur’an. All proceeds go directly to the Q-Institute.
